Poverty is a complex social, economic and political issue that a "one-size-fits-all" approach fails to resolve. Investing the time to explore the research, listen to stories of those living in poverty, and discover new ways of thinking about policies and systems will create better outcomes.

Participants will review poverty research, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of the hidden rules of class, resources, family structure, and language. This training assists educators, community organizations, law enforcement, counselors, health care and social service providers and legal systems gain insight and strategies to best serve and understand individuals of all backgrounds and lifestyles.
